Amelia Earhart has only a few days left before she disappears from
public view but never from public imagination and speculation. On this
date seventy-five years ago she remains in Bandoeng while the mechanics
continue servicing her airplane by now almost but not quite as famous as
she. In But This Is Different http://butthisisdifferent.com
Amelia knows exactly where she is going as does the woman who waits for
her and both know she will never land on the tiny speck called Howland
Island. Neither woman knows that forty years later Amelia must decide
whether or not to resume that unfinished flight to Oakland and beyond.
Below is the maintenance report on the even now very famous Lockheed Electra.
